Complex choices continued:
This may be wishful thinking but here's my concept anyway.
With all the microprocessor technology available, the microwave timer buttons and cooking guides on the front panel could be simplified and replaced with 3 options only (assuming pre-cooked meals) i.e.
(1) Warm (2) Freshly Cooked (3) Boiling Hot.
This might of course require some initial temperature measurement and final temperature cut-off by an on-board device, but hey. Even better would be the option to define this temperature for each setting, to suit your personal taste. I know there are technical challenges presented by the thermal mass of different food materials and the various subjective meanings of warm, freshly cooked and boiling hot to different people.
If there's a niche market for this, count me in.
